THESE WERE THE DEFQON.1 LEGENDS OF 2022 -

Last weekend, we all came together on the holy grounds to relive Defqon.1 together. It’s like we’ve never been away from it. The nostalgia is back, the memories are made, there were loads of fireworks and of course, closing the weekend with the Defqon.1 legends. But, who were the Defqon.1 legends of this year?

HEADHUNTERZ, WILDSTYLEZ & NOISECONTROLLERS (WORLD OF MADNESS)

This legendary trio kicked of the legends show. Who doesn’t know them? They contributed to the foundation of hardstyle and may have created the best Defqon.1 anthem ever with the three of them: World of Madness. Not a single Defqon.1 goes by without the entire audience singing along to this masterpiece. A well-deserved place as legends!

JDX

This legend probably deserved his spot as a legend the most of all. At Dediqated 2020, his track ‘Live The Moment’ featuring Sarah Maria was voted by the public as the best hardstyle track of all time. And let’s face it, who doesn’t get goosebumps from this master hit? This year he returned to the turntable for the first time in years and did not disappoint. Perhaps we will see him more often after this? Time will tell. What a show this was!

TNT (TECHNOBOY & TUNEBOY)

TNT, or Technoboy & Tuneboy. You could say that these two Italian heroes invented the name Hardstyle more than 20 years ago. Partly because of these two, the sound of hardstyle became popular in the Netherlands and they have dozens of hits to their name. There is no doubt that these two are legends. Their performance was unforgettable and definitely worthy as a part of the legends.
