This track, which is the very first collaboration between these three legends, has been a key part of their sets in the past months after its first play at REBiRTH Festival and now has seen the light of day at SCANTRAXX.

It's obvious that both Diederik Bakker and Stefan den Daas as D-Block & S-te-Fan and Joey van Ingen as Radical Redemption are living legends of hardstyle music. Even though their careers are some of the most long-lasting ones in the hard dance scene, it’s curious that their paths hadn’t crossed until this year.

On a year with many highlights from both of them, with D-Block & S-te-Fan hosting The Spotlight at Defqon.1 and releasing bangers such as ‘New Day To Remember’ or ‘No Angel’ and with Radical Redemption premiering his ‘Laser Legion Live - Phase 2’ at Intents Festival and at the verge of releasing his collaborative album, they can add this new collaboration to this successful year.

‘Movin’ On’ is the perfect example of how a collab should be: an unique and outstanding blend of the essence of the sound of different producers. When you listen to this track for the first time, you can clearly hear the sound of Radical Redemption with heavy kicks and screeches on the first drop and also a piece of D-Block & S-te-Fan’s melodic side on the climax.

“For projects like this to happen, everything just needs to be ‘right’”

As mentioned previously, the first time we got to hear ‘Movin’ On’ was during D-Block & S-te-Fan’s 15 Years Special at REBiRTH Festival. Yes, we definitely knew this was an instant banger. We have asked Radical Redemption why they decided to join each other in the studio right now and what was the creative process of the track. “We already talked about doing stuff together for a while now”, he answers, “but eventually schedules were packed. I really wanted to do this for ‘No Retaliation Pt. 2, The Collaborations’ but for projects like this to happen, everything just needs to be ‘right’”, he explains. “The timing was right, the vibe was right and that’s what you can hear in the track!”

We were present at the première of the track and the vibe was absolutely immaculate. We have asked Joey how he felt those very first times he got to play ‘Movin’ On’ on his sets and what was the reaction of the crowd like. “To be honest, I felt out of excitement”, he says. “When finishing this in the studio, we were all really hyped to play this tune, especially because it’s a festival banger too. The crowd reaction when playing it for the first time was insane and that didn’t change in the past months”.
