D-Block & S-te-Fan release a vinyl box with their biggest hits

The word is out! After several weeks of teasing in their social media, Diederik Bakker and Stefan den Daas, better known as D-Block & S-te-Fan, have unveiled their brand new project: a special limited edition slipcase featuring four individually packaged vinyls with unique artworks combining their biggest hits: 'The Best of D-Block & S-te-Fan.'

It’s no secret that vinyls are becoming more and more trendy nowadays. Even though music is usually consumed via streaming, vinyls have become really common collectible pieces for fans. This is also happening within the hardstyle scene and today marks the launch of a very exclusive and unique vinyl box: ‘The Best of D-Block & S-te-Fan’.

‘The Best of D-Block & S-te-Fan’ is a slipcase that contains four individually packaged vinyl records that together form a large artwork which combines elements from legendary artworks from Diederik and Stefan’s career. “We have been working with Ruud Van Eijk since the very beginning so we asked him to make a hommage to all the different artworks and fonts he has been using during the years”, D-Block & S-te-Fan tell. “We only printed 5 of these artworks and, from there, we got the idea of cutting the artwork in 4 quarters and releasing it as a ‘best of’ vinyl box”.

D-Block & S-te-Fan are a true example of living legends in our genre. After releasing four albums, making anthems for the biggest hardstyle events such as Qlimax, Defqon.1 or Intents Festival and topping the most important charts within this industry, this vinyl box launch marks another big milestone in their careers. “Projects like this special vinyl box are nice moments to look back at the things you have done and be proud”, they tell us. “In the end, it’s the hardstyle scene and the fans that give us a platform by enjoying our music and the things we do, the only thing we can do is give it our all and be passionate about what we do”.

What about the tracklist? These four vinyls are composed of 32 of the greatest hits in D-Block & S-te-Fan’s career, specially curated and handpicked by the legends themselves and distributed randomly among them. Of course, timeless tracks like ‘Music Made Addict’, ‘Shiverz’, ‘Fire’, ‘Harder Generation’ and massive collabs like ‘Keepers Of Our Legacy’ with Headhunterz, ‘Harder State Of Mind’ with DJ Isaac or ‘Infinity’ and ‘Symphony Of Life’ with Sefa are included, just to name a few! “It was a trip down memory lane to go through our catalogue and handpick the songs we were going to release on this box. We made a selection of songs that we feel represents us as artists the most and also made the most impact on our careers. Besides that when we first started releasing music there was vinyl already so we also made some decisions based on that”.

We have taken the advantage of this special vinyl box release to ask D-Block & S-te-Fan about several key moments in their careers. For example, which track was their real game-changer? “We don’t really believe one track breaks your career”, they answered, “but we can definitely pinpoint some moments. ‘Music Made Addict’ is a prime example. But, to be honest, every track we ever made holds a place in our hearts”.

This package will only be available as a full set (not sold separately) and can only be bought via the Hardstyle.com webshop, not available at events or in record stores. The delivery is expected around June only for the people who pre-ordered it, since there will be no reprints. “Vinyl in this day and age has become more of a collectible rather than a necessity. For this reason, we decided to order a set amount of vinyls and keep it with those”, Diederik and Stefan said.
