D-Block & S-te-Fan unveil APEX OST 'The Next Dimension'

The legendary Dutch duo is releasing their first track of the year, and it’s not a regular release - it’s the OST of APEX, Germany’s biggest hardstyle indoor event: ‘Enter The Next Dimension.’

2026 is already the biggest and most special year for Musical Madness, Germany's leading hardstyle promoter. Responsible for Into The Madness, countless events across the country, and, of course, APEX, Musical Madness will be celebrating their 20th anniversary covering the whole calendar year with special parties all over Germany. The first, and probably biggest one, will be APEX, their indoor powerhouse that has been setting the tone of the hardstyle indoor season for four years in a row.

“Two stages for the first time, exclusive premieres, and the biggest production we’ve ever built”

For this edition, Musical Madness is betting heavily on the most special edition of APEX to date. The event, which will take place at the Maimarkthalle in Mannheim on February 7, will be hosted for the very first time across two areas.

During this night event, thousands of attendees will get to see very exclusive back-to-back sets and liveacts, including Sub Zero Project B2B Rebelion, Aversion B2B D-Sturb, Ran-D pres. ‘Resonance’ LIVE, Coone B2B Da Tweekaz B2B Hard Driver pres. ‘The Elite’... As Benny from Musical Madness has told us, “this edition represents everything Musical Madness stands for: evolution, innovation, and delivering next-level experiences to our crowd”.

D-Block & S-te-Fan follow Sound Rush as APEX anthem makers for this year

One of the key moments of the upcoming edition of APEX will probably be the carefully curated anthem show Musical Madness always brings for the artists who are responsible for crafting the soundtrack of the night. “We are working together with Musical Madness to create a sick anthem show and we are very pumped to start 2026 with our German fans”, D-Block & S-te-Fan told us. “APEX has always been a very dope show. Their production level is top notch and the crowd is insane, we are stoked!”.

After unforgettable previous takes by Sub Zero Project, B-Front & Phuture Noize and Sound Rush, now it’s time to see the way D-Block & S-te-Fan captured the essence of this festival into their own OST. How have they approached this challenge? What’s the influence from APEX and their theme ‘The Next Dimension’ on this track? “We wanted to implement the 20 years of hardstyle history in it and then connect it to ‘entering the next dimension’”, they admitted.

This anthem has the perfect mixture between what D-Block & S-te-Fan and APEX have to offer. The track is purely energetic, reminding us very much of their track ‘Berlin’. In the second part of the song, the climax appears and, with that, the powerful explosion of a perfect melody with the signature D-Block & S-te-Fan sound design. “APEX has two areas but has always been a brand that represents the full spectrum of hardstyle so we tried to enter ‘different dimensions’ in the mid intro to end it up with a full on party/DBSTF melody you would expect from us”, Stefan added. “What’s crazy to me is how many generations this music connects. New ravers keep joining the scene, while legends like D-Block & S-te-Fan - who shaped the sound for so many years - are now creating the APEX anthem”, Toni from Musical Madness admitted.

A little sneak-peak: the second area will feature a boiler room inspired setup

As someone who has attended APEX in the past, I highly recommend it. The addition of the second stage is also very interesting, as it doesn’t force you to stay in a single room during the whole night, which can be a bit tiring sometimes. We have asked the organisation if they have something exclusive to share. “A small sneak peek: our second stage will feature a Boiler Room-inspired setup, bringing fans closer to the artists than ever before”, Toni told us.

And what about D-Block & S-te-Fan? After an astonishing 2025 with Defqon.1’s The Spotlight and their 20 years of D-Block & S-te-Fan celebration, they start off 2026 with this anthem and the announcement of 4 Of A Kind, their new formation together with Sub Zero Project. What else do they have in store for us in the upcoming months? “Every time we feel like we should slow down, we get very inspired and push ourselves even more”, they claimed. “With the rollout of 4 Of A Kind and a full agenda for the year, we are not slowing down on you guys, we are still here!”
