D-Fence & Alee team up for the Masters of Hardcore 2026 anthem

The masked Dutch producer and the well-known MC have joined forces for the third time ever to make one of the most awaited hardcore tracks of the year.

Angerfist, Deadly Guns, Nosferatu, Mad Dog, Evil Activities… the list of hardcore DJs and producers who have had the honour of making the official Masters of Hardcore in the past few years is legendary. Just as it happens with some other harder styles festivals, being the one who creates the official soundtrack that will resonate among thousands of attendees already marks your name in history.

It was about time to see D-Fence making an anthem for the official Masters of Hardcore festival in the Netherlands, which will take place on March 28 at the Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Although it’s the first time he produced the soundtrack for the Dutch event, he was already responsible for making the Masters of Hardcore Spain 2022 anthem, for the party hosted by this brand at FABRIK Madrid in December that year.

“It is an absolute honour to create this year’s anthem for Masters of Hardcore. I am truly hyped.”

‘Tides of Tyranny’ has this hardcore power everyone expects from a Masters of Hardcore anthem, especially in this era. “For me, it is important that people experience an epic feeling from the very first moment they hear the anthem, so they can already imagine themselves at the event."

In this day and age, making an anthem for such a big festival is far from being an easy task. All eyes are on you, and everyone expects a lot from what you can offer to this event’s legacy. What was D-Fence’s inspiration, and how did he try to capture the Masters of Hardcore vibe in this anthem? “I combined the early hardcore feeling with a modern sound, which suddenly created a very typical Masters of Hardcore vibe in a fresh new form”, he answered. “The challenge with an anthem is that you want something new, but not too complicated, while still keeping an element that fits what an anthem used to be like in the past. It is actually quite a difficult task”.

“I am curious about the reaction to the second drop, but the melody is the most important part.”

We were also curious about how the creative process of this track was, so we took advantage of it to ask D-Fence about it: “When I started fine-tuning the melody together with the synth, an epic and euphoric sense of power suddenly emerged. That was the moment I thought, yes, this is it”, he said. Also, he added something really interesting.

“There is a story behind this melody. I had been saving it for a long time, but never used it. I always told myself that if I were ever to create an anthem or do a collaboration with Angerfist, this would be the melody. In this case, it has become an anthem”, he told us. And indeed, it’s such a powerful and unique melody, congratulations!
