Q-dance has revealed all the ins and outs of the biggest line-up in Defqon.1’s history along with the premiere of D-Sturb’s anthem ‘Sacred Oath’. Discover the artists that are responsible for The Spotlight at the RED and the BLACK, The Opening Ceremony and more!

Weekend Warriors, it’s almost time to come home again! The holy grounds await us and today the full line-up of artists that will put the soundtrack to Biddinghuizen from June 25 to June 28 has been revealed on the usual ‘The Release’ streaming by Q-dance.

Brennan Heart and Hysta will take The Spotlights, while Outsiders will be responsible for The Opening Ceremony

As in every year, the most anticipated announcements were those about the artists who would be featured in The Spotlights for the closings of the RED Stage on Friday and the BLACK Stage on Thursday. In 2026, these honours will be for Brennan Heart and Hysta. For anyone who doesn’t know what The Spotlight is: it’s probably the biggest achievement for a hardstyle/hardcore artist in the holy grounds. The RED and the BLACK Stage are on full power with pyro, lasers, and top-notch production to accompany a special showcase by the artists.

On the other hand, the opening duties on Friday will fall on Outsiders’ shoulders. The Dutch legend will be responsible for putting the first notes down for the brand-new RED Stage design on Friday at midday.

The real opening of the festival will happen on Thursday with The Gathering. Three stages (BLUE, BLACK and INDIGO) will play the first beats of Defqon.1 2026 on its first day. D-Sturb will open the BLUE Stage with ‘Sacred Oath’, his anthem together with E-Life on the vocals. Coone, D-Block & S-te-Fan, DJ Isaac and Ran-D & Adaro will complete BLUE Stage’s roster on Thursday.

New BLUE night party concepts, comebacks, debuts and more!

Another special announcement by Q-dance is a brand new concept that will debut this year at Defqon.1. It’s Encore, the new way to end Friday and Saturday festival days. After The Spotlight and The Endshow finish, BLUE will keep the party going. This year, no more label hostings but a new format with special showcases by two acts that have been leading the hard dance scene for a long time: Rebelion on Friday and Phuture Noize on Saturday will make sure nobody goes to sleep early on the two biggest festival days.

Defqon.1 will see several comebacks, being Sefa and Radical Redemption the most special ones. Sefa will return after his one-year hiatus and he will be back with his This is Sefa concept, opening the festival day on Friday at the UV at 11:30 in the morning. This will be his only show this summer, so better not miss it! On the other hand, Radical Redemption will finally be back at the holy grounds after a long time with a performance that is set to be a special one at the BLUE Stage.

Several hard techno artists will also make his debut at Defqon.1: Holy Priest will play at the BLUE Stage while Restricted will play back-to-back Warface at the RED Stage. Talking about the RED Stage, we will get to see the anticipated debut of GPF on Sunday afternoon, right before the Closing Ceremony, as well as The Straikerz, who will play an ‘All on Red’ show on their first time stepping at the mighty mainstage of the harder styles, and the RED Race winner, who will play at prime time on Friday.

The Closing Ceremony with 4 OF A KIND, Gunz For Hire, and more surprises

After an outstanding tribute to hardstyle history on Defqon.1 Legends last year, Q-dance decided on a more regular format on Sunday evening this time. Defqon.1 Legends will last 3 hours, with surprise artists as always, and will be followed by a special showcase by Gunz For Hire, honouring their 15-year legacy and 4 OF A KIND, the quartet formed by D-Block & S-te-Fan and Sub Zero Project, who will close the festival in style.

The line-up of Defqon.1 is always massive, and we have already pointed out the most important aspects of it.
