The Opening Ceremony with Ran-D

An impressive stage such as the RED needs its own Opening Ceremony. Sefa held the honor in 2021, followed by Phuture Noize last year. This year, Ran-D will lead the ceremony. Will his 2015 anthem, No Guts No Glory, blast through the speakers of the RED once again? Only one way to find out - be present at the Opening Ceremony at 13:00 on Defqon.1’s Friday.

The Spotlight shows by Sefa (RED) & Spitnoise (BLACK)

During The Spotlight, an artist receives his very own endshow on the Friday of Defqon.1. Lasers, lights, pyro: expect only full madness during these unique sets. This year, they will be in the good hands of Sefa (at the RED) and Spitnoise (at the BLACK). 

11 areas and 100+ artists

Friday brings a packed festival day with an impressive range of artists. Showtek is set to make a legendary return on the RED stage. Other artists that have secured their place on the mighty RED are Da Tweekaz, D-Sturb, Rebelion, Sub Zero Project, Dreamscape by The Purge & Adjuzt, Rejecta, Vertile, DJ Isaac, Zatox, and Sefa.

But wait, there's more - spanning 11 areas and featuring 100+ artists on Friday alone, many more of your favorites will take the stage at the festival. Aversion, Gunz For Hire, Sickmode, Unresolved, Cryogenic, Nosferatu, Mandy, Brennan Heart, Dr. Peacock, Adaro, Kruelty, Lunakopz... and the list goes on. RAW Hardstyle Classics at the MAGENTA

On Friday, MAGENTA will be the hotspot for lovers of RAW Hardstyle Classics. Thanks to Q-dance, an impressive lineup of artists will be delivering some nostalgic beats. You can find the full Friday line-up at the MAGENTA below.

Hard Techno at the GREEN stage

Defqon.1 offers a wide range of musical genres within the harder styles. Last year, the GREEN stage officially returned to the Holy Grounds, bringing the best Hard Techno beats. This year, the GREEN stage will also be present, with artists such as Ghost in the Machine, Luciid, Cynthia Spiering, and Aphøtic.

With all these specials, we can’t wait to stroll around at the Holy Grounds on Friday. Last year, a lot of Weekend Warriors agreed that Friday was actually the best day of the whole weekend.
