Digital Punk & KATALYZE release their first collab: ‘No Place To Hide’

Released on SCANTRAXX, this song is a perfect blend between the energetic and cinematic styles of the two producers

After a successful and productive 2025 for Digital Punk, with the release of his album ‘Beyond Oblivion’, and KATALYZE, as the very first year of this new project, it was about time to see both worlds collide to give birth to a new collab between them.

The time has finally come: ‘No Place To Hide’ is out now on SCANTRAXX and it seems a fantastic mixture of two different sound designs that become one in a very natural way. “KATALYZE tracks are super explosive and very well produced. When he sent me the melody for this track, it was a no brainer”, Digital Punk told us. “I’ve always been a fan of René’s authentic, atmospheric tracks”, KATALYZE added. “Although I (KATALYZE) have a bit more modern sound, I always want to keep it authentic hardstyle. The Digital Punk sound is exactly that”.

Dark atmospheres, gated kicks and storytelling: the perfect combination

The result of this combination is perfect. The track has a mysterious, dark yet powerful vibe that sets the tone for what’s to come in this year from both artists. What was the creative process of ‘No Place To Hide’? “We first talked about what kind of drops we wanted to make, what kind of drops fit our style”, Digital Punk answered. “The second drop, for example, has gated kicks similar to how you would hear on hard techno tracks. It originates from the old Seismic/TILLT sound, as well as from other pioneers like Delete”, KATALYZE claimed. “Mix that up with dark atmospheres and storytelling and you got yourself an authentic raw track that suits both artists catalogues”.

The track has three very different drops: two heavy, energetic ones, followed by the melodic climax. It also has the signature rap vocals from Digital Punk that help with the drive. What kind of energy did they want to transmit with ‘No Place To Hide’? “The melody feels mysterious but energetic for me, like you’re being chased by something bigger than you”, René said. “Maybe it’s a bit like a video game final boss fight!”, KATALYZE added.
