DJ The Prophet acknowledged with an award celebrating his career at the Hardstyle Awards

Every book has its final chapter. Last year, after over 35 years in the music industry, DJ The Prophet decided to stop performing and producing. Sometimes, a legend in the harder styles scene needs to be awarded with a very special award, just for them – and with everything DJ The Prophet has done for the scene, Hard News and Hardstyle.com decided to honor him with an Honorable Mention award.

This year, The Godfather of Hardstyle said his goodbye at the iconic RED stage of Defqon.1 Weekend Festival. After that final goodbye and releasing his last harder styles album ever, DJ The Prophet felt torn apart. Even though it was his own decision to quit, he told Hardstyle.com that his whole world fell into pieces. With his emotional album ‘From The Hard’, DJ The Prophet made a tribute to memories forged over more than three decades, alongside new memories that will endure forever.

DJ The Prophet gets Honorable Mention award at the Hardstyle Awards Ceremony

Throughout his whole career, Dov has not only been focussing on his own career. He has been an inspiration to many big names in the harder styles scene, like Headhunterz and Devin Wild. In the latest episode of PLAFONDDIENST – The Hardstyle Podcast, Headhunterz spoke about how he saw DJ The Prophet as his mentor when he first started with making music. “I always felt that he would be the right teacher for me.”

Today at the Hardstyle Awards, on the 4th of January in 2024, the team behind Hard News and Hardstyle.com gave the Honorable Mention award to DJ The Prophet. With this, we want to thank him for everything he has done for the harder styles scene in his career.
