DJ The Prophet pays tribute to his producer Thom with: 'Out Of The Box'

After the unexpected passing of Thomas Duddridge in May 2023, now it's time to bring to life a full piece of unreleased tracks, created both by Thom and DJ The Prophet.

The Godfather of Hardstyle Dov Elkabas, also known as DJ The Prophet, keeps growing his legacy in the hard dance scene day by day. Even though he officially retired at Defqon.1 2023, with his incredible farewell set taking place at the RED Stage just before the Closing Ritual on Sunday, he has released a brand new album today: 'Out Of The Box'.

This is truly a special one. It's crafted by a bunch of unreleased tracks, all of them being created in collaboration with his producer Thomas Duddridge who sadly passed away two years ago. Thom was a man of incredible talent and a true heart for music. Now, the time has come to finally share the music they created together.

"We can't turn back time - but we can turn the hourglass, giving new life to the creativity of the past", Dov said. "What's gone remains precious. We can't relive it, but we can share it. The sand that has already fallen represents the tracks, the moments with Thom, the memories. By turning the hourglass once more, we don't return to the past - we set it in motion again, allowing it to live on in the present. Thom and I spent countless hours in the studio - some tracks found their way into the world, others stayed hidden until now. Each one carries a piece of our journey together".

The tracks on this album have been played at The Prophet's sets for years, but somehow they never got to be officially released. 'Out Of The Box' contains both old and new creations, but all a reflection of the musical journey Dov and Thom took together.
