ERABREAK joins SCANTRAXX main label

The young talent, who has just taken part at Defqon.1’s The RED Race contest, has made one of the biggest steps in his career so far.

Julian Mulder, also known as ERABREAK, is making sure his name is going to be remembered within the hardstyle scene. Only one year and a half since his very first release, he has already made some big steps as an artist, such as remixing KELTEK’s timeless hit ‘Through The Night’ and participating in the first edition of the new Q-dance talent show, The RED Race.

“Ever since I started making hardstyle, SCANTRAXX has always been my main goal”

Most of his tracks so far have been released on SCANTRAXX NEXXUS, one of the little brothers of one of the biggest labels in the hardstyle universe. From today, ERABREAK can proudly claim that he is now part of SCANTRAXX main label! “I’m very hyped and honoured!”, he told us. “Ever since I started making hardstyle 8 years ago, SCANTRAXX has always been my main goal. I looked up to Demi Kanon, KELTEK, Devin Wild… I was already blown away by joining SCANTRAXX NEXXUS last year, but joining the main label feels insane!”.

Definitely, this is more than just signing for a label. This is making a statement. The future looks brighter than ever for Julian. “The fact that the team in SCANTRAXX see the potential in me to become a full grown artist makes me so happy for the future”, he says. We also asked him in which way he thinks his career will step up by being part of such a big label. “Releasing my music on the main label gives me finally the chance to show everyone what ERABREAK is all about in the best way! It will do a lot for my name, because if a team like SCANTRAXX sees the potential, organisations will probably notice”.

“The RED Race did so much for my online exposure and engagement”

As we mentioned before, ERABREAK was one of the talents who was picked by one of the coaches to participate in The RED Race, Q-dance’s talent show whose winner earned a spot to play in prime time at the mighty RED Stage of Defqon.1. Although Julian wasn’t crowned as the winner, it’s obvious that this experience must have changed a lot in himself as an artist. We asked him about it.

“The RED Race was an amazing journey”, he answered. “From getting to know my fellow contenders to meeting the wonderful production team and learning so much from my coach… Although I didn’t win, I’m still one of the four finalists and that did so much for my online exposure and engagement”, he claims.

His coach was none other than Phuture Noize, one of the most creative and unique hardstyle producers out there. What did ERABREAK learn from him? “I learned a lot of technical producer tips: how to make the leads pop more, how to get the best working arrangement and also how to approach music in a different way”. The result can already be seen in ‘DREAMSTATE’, his latest release as the assignment in The RED Race. “‘DREAMSTATE’ is my strongest track to date. This sound is really where I want ERABREAK to go, my upcoming music will be around the same style and energy but I’d also love to surprise people by doing every track a bit different within my signature sound”, he told us.

And now, what’s next? “I’ll be playing at Defqon.1 on Saturday at the PURPLE Stage from 17:45 to 18:30. There are some nice collabs coming up as well, starting up by the one with KELTEK, which we will premiere at Defqon.1, plus a remix for another big artist, which is in the making!
