Fraw & Imperatorz release the Official Faceless Festival anthem 'Gatekeepers'

Apart from hosting a stage on the second festival day and performing an exclusive live back-to-back on the mainstage on the first one, the two German rawstyle powerhouses are behind Faceless pres. ‘Gates To Hell’ anthem.

After weeks of anticipation since its premiere early this year, it’s time to welcome the official anthem of Faceless pres. ‘Gates To Hell’. Fraw and Imperatorz are responsible for creating the soundtrack of one of the biggest indoor hardstyle events in Germany. The track is called ‘Gatekeepers’ and it has been released on Gearbox Digital.

Lucas and Kevin are both known for their pure raw energy, with heavy kicks and also dark and mysterious vibes. This anthem captures all these ideas into one track, with the melodic touch an anthem always needs. “We tried to build a story in the track, going from darker and mysterious vibes to an uplifting and energetic melody, trying to capture all the different ‘gates’ on this event”, Imperatorz told us.

“It was obvious to us that we wanted to feature the voice of Faceless on the track”, Fraw adds. “This year, the voice will play a character called Hades and will guide you through the festival, telling a story throughout the night. We also added the vocalist Last Word to mix some rap parts into the break as well”.

“Making my first anthem together with one of my closest friends is an honor”

After Malice’s take on Faceless OST last year, the festival gave a chance to two of the biggest names in the German industry, who also turned out to be really close friends, improving the chemistry in the studio even more. For Imperatorz, this is his first anthem ever and it comes at a very special moment for him as he is about to close his career in the upcoming months. “Faceless has been a major part in German hardstyle and I’m proud to be able to contribute to it”, he claims.

“Making the anthem is for me really special as I’ve not done any official sound tracks or anthems for any events ever. Being able to give the theme of the party a sound, a body and soul is something not many are able to do. I’m glad I could do it with Lucas, we became such good friends through the whole music journey that it felt just right having him on board for this. It’s great to do things by yourself but being able to share great moments with your friends is probably the best feeling in life”, Kevin said.

A stage hosting and a live B2B… you’d better not miss Fraw and Imperatorz at Faceless!

As we mentioned before, this edition will be very special for both producers not only because of having made the anthem, but also because they are key parts of the whole line-up. On Friday, they will be playing a special once-in-a-lifetime B2B at the mainstage. What can we expect from this? “On Friday we’ll try to bring as much music as possible into our live set”, Fraw answered. “It will be a mix of live edits but also sing-a-long tracks from the both of us. We can’t say too much about this set yet as we want to keep it a surprise”.

On the other hand, on Saturday, they will host the Desert stage, playing several sets in a back-to-back format. “This will be a trip through memory lane”, Imperatorz said. “From playing a ‘classics’ set, which I’m absolutely stoked about, to playing with some of my closest friends. I think everyone who likes mine or Fraw’s music will have the best nights of their lives. We will fill up the stage with some surprises, extra special FXs and most importantly a lot of craziness and sick vibes!”, he added.
