Frontliner returns to SCANTRAXX with new label ‘This Is Hardstyle’

Absolutely massive news from one of the scene’s most beloved legends. Frontliner is back where it all began: SCANTRAXX. And not just with a new track, but with an entire label under his belt. That’s right, Barry Drooger is officially launching ‘This Is Hardstyle’, his new home for euphoric hardstyle. And it’s all kicking off with his feel-good summer track ‘You Made It’, dropping this Friday!

If there’s one artist who helped define the melodic Hardstyle sound in its golden era, it’s Frontliner. With timeless tunes like Symbols, Weekend Warriors, and the legendary Scantraxx Rootz (yes, that one with Heady), Barry's influence is undeniable. “Scantraxx gave me a platform when I was still figuring things out,” he tells us. “Now, coming back with my own label just felt right.”

After years of more experience and even launching Echoes of Euphoria, Barry’s now combining past, present, and future in a brand-new chapter, and he’s more inspired than ever. “The time feels very right. My vision, their reach, and professionalism… I think it’s going to open a lot of new doors.”

A full-circle moment, and a new direction for euphoric Hardstyle

It’s been a long journey since the early Abject days, where Barry released classics like End of My Existence and Scantraxx Rootz with Headhunterz. That track, by the way, became “kind of the unofficial anthem of the label,” he laughs. And the name Frontliner? It came from a comic book. “The Prophet found it while touring Australia. He asked if I liked it; I did. The rest is history.”

Now, with This Is Hardstyle, Barry is giving euphoric Hardstyle a platform again. “Honestly, I felt like something was missing in the scene. The raw sound was everywhere. I wanted to bring emotion and melody back into the spotlight,” he explains. And this isn’t just about Barry’s music, the label will welcome new talent as well.

The first release on This Is Hardstyle is already turning heads. ‘You Made It’ drops this Friday, and it’s full of that signature summer euphoria. “It’s all about putting your worries aside and enjoying Hardstyle,” Frontliner shares. “It’s the start of something bigger, and this track sets the tone.”
