Ghost Stories release long-awaited ‘Ready Or Not’

The trio, formed by D-Block, S-te-Fan and Evelyn Bakker, has just launched their very much anticipated track, which caught the scene’s attention ever since its premiere at Defqon.1 earlier this year, “Ready or not, here it comes!”

With the darkness of the night already upon us and in the middle of an outstanding performance of D-Block & S-te-Fan at The Spotlight in Defqon.1, it was time to make a switch in a set that covered the biggest hits of their past two decades. Diederik and Stefan dressed up fully white, put their masks on and let Evelyn create a magical moment.

The first track they played to honour their legacy as Ghost Stories was ‘Ready Or Not’, a version of the 1996 mega hit of the Fugees mixing their iconic vocals (obviously performed by Evelyn), the dark and enigmatic vision of Ghost Stories and the power of hardstyle. The vibe at the premiere of the tune was completely on point and the reactions online were immaculate as well. It suddenly became one of the most anticipated tracks in the hardstyle scene.

From Defqon.1’s The Spotlight to Tomorrowland mainstage closing

After that, the hype only increased. The track was played worldwide, including big festivals such as EDC, Ultra Music Festival Japan or even at Hardwell’s Tomorrowland mainstage closing. We can already say it has become an instant classic.

After this 3 month wait, today is the day! The track has just been released on SCANTRAXX and it marks the penultimate track of this side project of D-Block & S-te-Fan, who will close this chapter at their very own event at Haaren on November 8. They will perform a special Ghost Stories extended set, together with Evelyn, in which will be one of the highlights of the end of the year 2025 in the hardstyle scene.
