Imperatorz releases his final track together with B-Front, 'Beating Heart'

After the surprise release of his album 'Unfinished Business', this new track with B-Front captures the perfect feeling of a farewell.

The last months have been a rollercoaster of emotions for Imperatorz. After the announcement of his retirement some weeks ago, Big K has hosted a stage at Faceless together with Fraw, has released a collab with Aversion and a brand new album including 19 edits, tools, collabs and solo tracks that didn't see the light of day before. Basically, his 'Unfinished Business', as he called this compilation.

Now, it's time to say goodbye to Kevin with his very last track, and this is truly a special one. 'Beating Heart' is the first collaboration between Imperatorz and the legend B-Front and it has just been released on SCANTRAXX and Roughstate. This song captures perfectly both the beauty and the weight of a farewell and represents a perfect mix between the signature sounds of both producers. "I always was a big fan of Bob his music, the feels and atmosphere he puts in the tracks and always staying true to his core sound… We were having a chat backstage and basically decided: let’s give it a try. Our sounds are so different, so it was a welcome challenge to combine both ideas and styles." 

"We became friends along the way, to be honest it still feels weird sometimes that I am able to hang out with people I looked up to and followed already for so long." The magic and atmospheric depth of B-Front fits with the energy and raw power of Imperatorz to create a massive combination together. As said, this is the perfect way to close a chapter. "I really wanted to make an emotional song and we decided right away: let’s keep it melodic, let’s not do a hard drop… For me it’s a perfect combination, the typical b front feels combined with my energetic structure and kicks…"

"We were struggling a little finding the right date for the release in all honesty. Due to our busy schedules and my planned retirement it was hard to find the right date. Along the way I approached Bob and said, why don’t we make it as my last release. Felt like a nice way to close this chapter." - Imperatorz.
