Unload Enters Melodic Territory With ‘My Heart Goes’

The xtra-raw Dutch sensation has just released a very special track for himself on Scantraxx for the very first time.

In the middle of Xtra-Raw's boom, one name that has emerged and broken through in recent months is Unload. Thanks to a unique style and sound design, with very clean kicks and leads, the Dutch producer has been scoring hit after hit lately: from 'Kisses', which has already passed 1 million streams, to his slow uptempo track 'Cracking Brains', the artist's portfolio keeps growing.

Today, we have witnessed a new edge of what Unload has to offer: his more melodic side. Released on Scantraxx, 'My Heart Goes' is the perfect blend of uplifting, euphoric melodies and hard-hitting kicks.

"It was kind of an experiment to see if I could make this work in a scene that's constantly getting harder and rawer."

This track stands out compared to the latest releases in Unload's catalogue. Why did he decide to try out something different this time? "I absolutely love melodic tracks with pitched kicks, but you can tell they don't always work as well on the dancefloor", he admitted. "That's why I wanted to put it in a slightly more modern jacket, keep more drive, and combine gated with pitched kicks".

We also took the opportunity to ask him what the main inspirations behind this track were, and the answer was pretty surprising. “Around the time the idea came to me, I was listening to a lot of hardstyle classics”, he answered. “It was around spring. I think that sound is super cool, and it inspired me to create a track like that, but more focused on the dancefloor”.

“There are definitely more melodic tracks coming.”

This is, for sure, something the fans could not expect from Unload. We are used to his brutal, raw tracks and collabs, so this more melodic side came out of nowhere. What were his fans' reactions like? “The first time I premiered it, the reactions were mixed, but overall positive. Over time, the track has really started to grow and come alive”, he told us.
