Digital Punk aims to evoke a sense of invincibility with ‘The Future Is Ours’
Immerse yourself in an electrifying experience with Digital Punk’s latest track, ‘The Future Is Ours.’ It has become a pulsating release that unveils a glimpse into his innovative live-act, Cyber Punk. This sonic masterpiece transcends boundaries, seamlessly blending raw energy with futuristic beats. We sat down with Digital Punk to talk about this exciting new release.
For Digital Punk, everything currently revolves around his new live act, Cyber Punk. With this act, he aims to take the audience on a Cyber Punk-journey, describing it as not just music but a complete experience. ‘The Future Is Ours,’ a key track in the live performance, was just released on Roughstate.
Did you have a specific vision in mind when creating this track?
“The track had to convey a feeling of ‘victory’ and ‘invincibility’ as this is essential for my Cyber Punk live act. Cyber Punk mercilessly attacks the firewalls of our safe zone, which protects it from outside enemies. The vocals ‘The Future Is Ours’, together with the overall vibe of the track and the melody, evoke exactly that feeling.”
What makes ‘The Future Is Ours’ a real Digital Punk presents Cyber Punk track?
“The track is really drenched in the Cyber Punk sauce. The futuristic sounds, the vibe and the glitches together create exactly the atmosphere I want to convey with Cyber Punk. The album has four drops with hard kicks. You haven’t heard them like this before from me as Digital Punk.”
On Hard News, Digital Punk tells more about the message he wants to convey with Cyber Punk, the associated outfit and the creative process behind the live act. Check out the interview here.
The music video for ‘The Future Is Ours’ was made entirely with AI. Why was this approach chosen?
“The futuristic world of Cyber Punk initially only existed in my head, but with today’s technology I was able to bring this vision to life visually. Both the clips of ‘The Future Is Ours’ and ‘Program Cyber Punk’ were made entirely by myself. In collaboration with Cinemarks, I also managed to integrate these visual elements into the LED visuals on stage during my live act."
A recurring question on Hardstyle.com: what do you think about what hardstyle music looks like now and how it is changing?
“Let me start with the fact that everything is constantly evolving. It has always been that way and always will be that way. That’s fine too, because standing still means going backwards. Music can actually be seen as a living thing that is constantly in motion. In addition, there is no arguing about taste: you either like it or you don’t.
Thanks to my monthly podcast, Unleashed, I always stay up to date with the latest music. Personally, I appreciate a lot of today’s music and have never had a problem filling my podcast with bangers in the last 10 years. However, there are also many tracks that I am less enthusiastic about. In my opinion, the constant pursuit of ‘harder and harder’ does not do any good for the genre in general. Personally, I notice a lack of variation in the extremely hard side of our genre. Only ‘kick drops’ can get boring quickly. Of course we go on a sick kick, but variety is key. Fortunately, I now see that there are many producers in that direction who also experience this and add melody drops again instead of just aiming for ‘who is the loudest’.”
