On Monday, the government announced that it would not provide clarity on the continuation of events without an overnight stay, which are planned as of August 14, for another 3 weeks. Today they announce that on Monday, August 2, they will already give a ruling on one-day events starting on August 14.

The Dutch OMT has been asked to give advice regarding events, this will happen on Friday and will be taken into account in the decision that will be made on Monday. The government will announce the decision on Monday during a press conference.

If the cabinet decides to ban these events until September 1, the summary proceedings will continue next week

Rosanne Janmaat, COO of the ID&T Group: “We are pleased that together with the Alliance of Event Builders we were able to convince the cabinet of the necessity of quick decision-making for our industry. We assume that the decision on Monday will be positive and that events can again take place as of August 14, obviously in a safe and responsible manner.”

Until the cabinet comes up with a new decision, the summary proceedings filed by the ID&T Group, along with 44 co-claimants, will be postponed. If the cabinet decides to ban events without an overnight stay until September 1, we will simply continue the summary proceedings.
