DUTCH GOVERNMENT DECIDED: NO TESTING REQUIRED FOR OUTDOOR FESTIVALS [UPDATE] -

This is the news we’ve been waiting for for two years. The Dutch cabinet wants to get rid of basically all measures, which means that events are FINALLY back.

The Dutch cabinet just hosted a press conference where they announced that all COVID measures will be lifted as of Friday, February 25, 2022, according to sources.

That means that the mask mandate will end – face masks will not have to be worn anymore and that restaurants, bars etc. will return to their normal opening times. From this Friday (Feb 18) on, they can already remain open until 1 am but from the Friday after (Feb 25), bars and restaurants can finally return to their pre-COVID opening times.

NO 1G FOR OUTDOOR EVENTS

The 1G requirement (people have to show a negative test to enter a venue) will only apply to indoor events with an attendance of more than 500 Outdoor venues are exempted from the mandatory testing. As a result, outdoor soccer games and events will then be free to attend.

February 25 also marks the start of the Carnival. If you’ve ever celebrated Carnival in The Netherlands you know that means absolute mayhem.

The COVID pass as we know it now will also be scrapped. Only to enter INDOOR events you will need to be tested, but that will apply to everyone, not taking into account the vaccination status.

This is honestly the best news we’ve heard in a really long time, we’re beyond excited to finally attend all Hardstyle parties and festivals again 🤩
