HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO TO WIN A SPOT ON THE REBIRTH FESTIVAL MAINSTAGE

Earlier this week, we already announced that REBiRTH events has set up a DJ-contest where it’s possible to win a spot on the mainstage of REBiRTH Festival! Many positive reactions followed after this, but what exactly do you need to do? “What are the requirements?”, “What is the deadline?”, “How many selection rounds are there in total?” and “What exactly can I win?”. In this article, I will answer all of these frequently asked questions.

In this new DJ contest, we’re going to give one lucky contestant the chance to open our Sunday Mainstage hosted by Rebelion, the opportunity to release one of their own tracks on Scantraxx, and last but not least a year of free downloads and an exclusive interview on Hardstyle.com! Besides that, we will also give 5 other contestants the chance to play at the new RELEASE area.”

The Road to the REBiRTH Mainstage starts today (Saturday, January 22) at 12:00 and all the information can be found on their contest website!

HOW CAN YOU JOIN?

STEP 1

Make your best mixtape ever recorded (no longer than 30 minutes), with a least 1 of your own produced tracks and upload your mixtape privately on Soundcloud.

STEP 2

Write a short motivation why you should be opening the REBiRTH Festival mainstage hosted by Rebelion on Sunday.

STEP 3

Go to the entry form and fill in all your details, the URL to your mixtape, motivation and a URL to your own produced track and you’re done! The form will open on 22 January at 12:00 and will close on 5 February 23:59. 

Requirements for your mixtape

• Your set needs to be uploaded to SoundCloud, using a private URL;

• Your set needs to be exactly 30 minutes, sets longer will not be judged;

• Your set needs to consist of at least one track produced by yourself;

• Your set needs to be recorded live, set made in any DAW will not be judged;

• B2B sets are not allowed.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

ROUND 1

Your mixtape will be judged by REBiRTH Festival, resulting in a top 10 of the best contestants who will proceed to round 2. Your mixtape will be judged according to an assessment form consisting of 10 items. On 19 February we will announce the winners of the first round after which the second round will start.

ROUND 2

During the next round, your set will be judged by a jury formed by Rebelion and Hardstyle.com (75%) and the public (25%). We will upload the top 10 sets to our Social Media channels and after that, starting from 19 February the public has one week to vote for their top 3 via this website.
