You’re in the studio day after day, building a lot of hardstyle tracks for years now. And maybe, you’re ready for the next step. You want to turn your hobby into your work. You’re daily dreaming of performing at the biggest hardstyle events like Defqon.1, Decibel or maybe even the smaller hardstyle events. But you don’t know how you can send these tracks, or to whom. We have compiled a list of labels that are open to your demos.

GENERAL TIPS

  • – Only send in tracks that are completely ready, never send in unfinished projects
  • – Make sure to send the Extended Mix, never only the Radio Edit
  • – Check what the requirements of the label are with regards to how they want to receive demos. Some labels have their own demo platforms, some want a Dropbox link, some a Soundclound link – always double check
  • – Never send demos through Instagram or Facebook
  • – Also make sure to follow the label’s guidelines for what files they want – MP3 or WAV or both?
  • – Always add a short motivation which includes information about yourself, what you achieved already and why you want to release at the respective label
  • – If you have several tracks ready, send them all so the label can choose
  • – Send your demo to only one label at a time. If they don’t respond, you can send the same demo to another label after one or two months
  • – And last but not least: don’t get frustrated when labels don’t respond. They receive tons of demos so they simply don’t have time to respond to everyone. Send a follow-up after 3-4 weeks and if you don’t hear back then, then they probably did not accept your demo. If that happens over and over again you might not be ready yet to release your music. Give it time and perfectionize your production skills and then try again – but never give up!
