THE #1 HARDSTYLE ARTIST OF AMERICA JOINS SCANTRAXX’S MAIN LABEL

Lady Faith aka Faye Leedman, also known as the number #1 female hardstyle artist in the world. Faye is from Iran but is currently based in the USA. After multiple releases on Scantraxx Global, it is time for Faith to make a move to the Scantraxx main label. I spoke to her about this big step, she opened up about how she deals with a label in Europe while living in the USA, about her latest release “Party” and many more.

FIRST OF ALL, HOW ARE YOU DOING?

I am doing great. The industry is a challenge right now, but I have spent my time during Covid creating new music and refining my act to ensure that I am fully ready when things get back to normal and the rest of the world finally opens up. The Pandemic has helped me re-define my priorities and I try more to see the glass half full and make the most of whatever life throws at me.

HOW DO YOU KEEP YOURSELF BUSY IN THESE CRAZY TIMES?

Outside of constant Lady Faith related work, I try to stay focused on the things that are important. My family, my friends, staying safe and adapting to an unpredictable change in the world. The USA has been particularly hit hard by the virus but we can adapt. I cook more Persian food, spend much more quality time with my beautiful pups and I spend more time getting in the relaxation my body so desperately craved due to non-stop touring. I try to stay away from the news as much as is possible this year and just gravitate towards the things that bring me pleasure.

YOU RECENTLY STEPPED UP FROM SCANTRAXX GLOBAL TO THE SCANTRAXX MAIN LABEL, CAN YOU TELL US MORE ABOUT THAT?

It is not a simple path for an international act to join a premier European music label, especially in Hardstyle. I have wanted this for my entire decade spanning career. Many have told me that if I stay in America my chances of having an authentic Hardstyle career are close to impossible but that just motivated me more, and now I feel a great sense of vindication. I did it the hard way. I released a bunch of tracks with Scantraxx Global, worked really hard and earned a coveted spot on the main label. I am happy to have made this transition and feel that it is an example to many up-and-coming female Hardstyle DJ/ Producers to never give up and never let anybody tell you what your dreams can be.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM YOU AT THE SCANTRAXX MAIN LABEL?

I have always been a free spirit and that won’t change. I am just blessed to now be guided by a professional label that has a proven track record in developing acts and bringing out the best music in them. I look forward to this new partnership and seeing what the future brings.

WHAT IS IT LIKE WORKING WITH A DUTCH LABEL WHILE YOU’RE BASED IN THE USA?

The distance between us alone creates numerous complexities but I hope to be able to bring a little bit of American Hardstyle to the European and International markets and stir things up a little. I love living in the USA and it is my passion to continue to develop the largest Hardstyle scene outside of Europe. In addition, I am very excited to see if we can bring more of the spirit of Scantraxx into America and more American talent to grace the stages to our Hardstyle homeland.

YOUR FIRST RELEASE WILL BE “LADY FAITH – PARTY”. CAN YOU TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR FIRST TRACK ON SCANTRAXX’S MAIN LABEL?

“Party” is an incredibly fun and energetic track. I wanted to start my main label journey with a ball of positivity. I hope to produce more of these tracks because it makes me happy. I think the fans are going to love it and I can’t wait to release more.

TELL US A LITTLE ABOUT LADY FAITH THE PERSON?

I was born in Iran but raised in America, so my current career choice is a radical change from what was expected of me as a person. I always had a rebellious spirit and a musical background and being a musical artist is very satisfying to me all things considered. I like to break the mold so I pretty much do anything people tell me not to and I always seem to take on challenges that seem impossible. It can be complicated to understand the mindset of a girl who grew up in a strict traditional environment but had an opportunity to move to an environment that was so free and unlimited. It really opened my mind to what was possible and so I really enjoy the ability to do unexpected and disrupting things that bring joy to my Faithful.

I like to think of myself as a compassionate and kind person who tries hard to make the lives of the people around me better. I love Hardstyle with all my heart and soul and it brings me so much joy that I am able to bring that sound to American fans and over time, I have been very privileged to grow a scene that has so many parties across the country and can fill very large stages at huge music festivals. Being on-stage gives me a sense of peace that I never believed was possible for me when I was a child.
