Cryex's Band of Color at Reverze leaves crowd speechless

Cryex made a big impression last weekend with the first showing of his live set Band Of Color. At the Saturday of the 20th anniversary of Reverze in Antwerpen, he treated a packed Lotto Arena with brand-new tracks, edits, and a visual spectacle that left the audience in awe. "Awaken your inner illumination with... Cryex LIVE!"

From the very first second of his set, as the pulsating sound of a beating heart is heard through the speakers and the Band of Color trailer kicks in, the audience in the packed Lotto Arena is staring at the screens with wide eyes, curious about what's to come. "This is your Band of Color. Delve into creativity with the color of... red."

A moment later, the entire Lotto Arena is bathed in red. Each live set of Band Of Color features a different color, and at Reverze, Cryex started off with passionate red. This was noticeable from the numerous red-hued lights and lasers, as well as the red band around Cryex's arm, his nails, and even his red-dyed hair. One thing is certain: Cryex's attention to detail is showcased through his appearance.

Cryex drops numerous new tracks during Band of Color

As previously mentioned by Cryex during the Band Of Color introduction, brand-new tracks are featured in every live set. It was a pleasant surprise that a few days before Reverze, several musical hints had already been shared on Instagram by the APEX-artist. One of the clues teased the track 'Raging Madness' booming from the speakers, a new collaboration with Act of Rage. This track was incredibly well received during Reverze — even though it was the first time it was performed live. From the second drop, the lyrics were shouted along by the crowd at the top of their lungs.

Observant ravers also heard a remix of 'Animals,' a well-known track by Ran-D and Hard Driver. During this track, it was impossible to stand still - everyone in the audience went completely wild during the drop. On top of that, Cryex also decided to drop two brand-new solo tracks: 'Crowd Jumping' and 'See You Again'. 

Band of Color is a kaleidoscope of colors

In addition to new tracks, the audience at Reverze is treated to the Spectrum edit of the popular Cryex track 'Falling Up,' which was released a few weeks ago with his latest live EP. Anyone who glances at the stage during this song, can see how much fun Cryex and MC Synergy are having together during this track. On the screen behind them, not only does the text 'Band Of Color' appear in a kaleidoscope of colors, but also with Cryex's signature meme logo: the frog.

For the closing track of his live act, the APEX artist debuted his latest collaboration with the uptempo DJ Cryogenic. Titled 'Cryexgenic part 2, this track follows the success of their first track together. While it marked the end of Cryex's set, it certainly didn't slow down the crowd. In fact, Cryexgenic part 2 ignited one of the loudest cheers of the night. After teasing a sneak peek on Instagram, Cryex had built up a lot of excitement for this track. Now, we're left wondering - When Cryexgenic part 2?!
