Multi-day events and festivals will soon be possible again under certain conditions. What these conditions will be is still unclear. Tomorrow there will be a press conference in the Netherlands where the Dutch cabinet will provide more clarity on this.
Ingrid van Engelshoven (outgoing minister of OCW) said this morning on the television program “Goedemorgen Nederland” that things are moving in the right direction for the events sector. “Tomorrow we’ll take a look at what we can make possible for the events and festivals”. Finally good news for our industry.
A maximum number of visitors is being considered, probably based on a percentage of the normal capacity. On Sunday, consultations were held in the Catshuis about to ease the COVID-19 measures. Among other things, it is leaked that the 1.5-meter rule will be dropped as of September 25. Instead, people will have to provide proof that they have been vaccinated, tested negative, or recovered.
Last Saturday the events industry was heading back to the streets against the corona measures. All this, for one reason: to unmute the events industry. Let’s hope it worked out!
