WILL EVENTS HAVE TO BE CANCELED AGAIN?

The news just came out that the Dutch Outbreak Management Team (OMT) advises a ‘mild and light lockdown’ for two weeks. What does that mean for Hardstyle events? Read on!

Sources of NOS and AD confirm that the OMT advised the cabinet on Thursday to do a two-week lockdown ‘light’, meaning that cinemas and theaters have to close, restaurants and bars have to close earlier and events cannot take place. Followed by the lockdown, the OMT suggests introducing the 2G rule, which only allows fully vaccinated or recovered people to obtain a QR code that grants you access to places like events, gastronomy, or the gym.

WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR HARDSTYLE EVENTS?

Quite heavy restrictions that we did not expect. But what would that mean for Hardstyle events that are planned in the upcoming time? This weekend, Live For This and Hardfest should take place, next weekend Qlimax and REACTiVATE and on November 27 REBELLiON. A bunch of sick parties that we definitely don’t want to miss.

Tomorrow, on Friday, a press conference will take place at 7 pm where Mark Rutte and Hugo de Jonge will announce which new measures there will be. `We really hope that events don’t have to be canceled again, after such a long time without events that would be the worst outcome thinkable for our scene, the fans, and organizations.
